Our mission at VCC is to live out what we believe the Bible teaches in regards to our discipleship in Christ. No matter where you are at in your walk with Him, together we will seek to live this out as follows:

Gospel-centered church life, discipleship based on the four C’s of Scripture.

In Matthew 16:15-16 Jesus posed the question to Peter (one of Jesus’ apostles), “who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ (or Messiah)." This is also what we confess to be true here at Valley Community Church. We proclaim to the world that Jesus is the Messiah. We proclaim the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ that is revealed in the Bible. (For a description of what the gospel is click on the "About" tab on the home page or the "Our Message" tab in the side bar.)

Jesus says in Matthew 22:37-38, “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” We recognize that prior to our salvation that is from God, we couldn’t fulfill this commandment, because He has to give us a new heart to love Him. After God gives us that new heart that loves Him, we then have the ability to fulfill the great commandment.

Since we have been saved by Christ from our sins and we now have the ability to love God, we then live out our faith in a community of followers of Jesus. We are a covenant community of believers because we are in the New Covenant, a promise made by God and fulfilled in the cross of Christ. As a community of believers we seek to encourage one another on in the faith, hold one another accountable to the faith that we profess, meet together regularly, and stir one another on in love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:23-25).

Jesus says in Matthew 28:19-20 to “go therefore and make disciples of all of the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I command you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” We consider this commission to be witnesses of the gospel our great privilege and duty.
